Global counterinsurgency and US army expansion: the case for recruiting foreign troops

Given the nature of global counterinsurgency operations, the demands of military expansion, and the need for cultural, linguistic, and regional expertise, the United States Army should evaluate the establishment of US-led foreign troop units for its evolving force structure. This article proposes the creation of an American foreign legion based upon the recruitment of US-led, ethnically homogeneous tribal force units to meet the grist mill of counterinsurgency operations. This structured approach would be more beneficial than the current reliance on a de facto American Foreign Legion, represented by private military contractors (PMCs), many of them comprised of foreigners. These PMCs carry a number of oversight, accountability, and legal risks not found in a fully integrated, and US-officered foreign legion. The British Brigade of Gurkhas, the South-West African Police Counter-Insurgency Unit (Koevoet), and the Kit Carson Scouts serve as relevant historical examples where foreign troops were used to supplement national manpower resources.

在管线顺序输送中,基于油品密度的混油浓度检测技术的应用最为广泛。根据机动管线的使用特点和要求,提出了几种适合机动管线的混油浓度检测方案,进行了分析比较,并设计了一种新型测力式混油浓度检测装置。该装置主体结构采用自力机械式结构。原理简单,无需外部电源,操作使用、维修保养方便。     

境外行政主体制度研究

行政主体理论自行政法成为公法重要组成部分时便成为行政法几个核心理论之一。自《中华人民共和国行政诉讼法》实施以来,行政主体理论研究成为我国行政法理论研究的重点之一。我国关于行政主体的内涵及外延,学术界各抒己见,至今缺乏统一的论断。境外一些行政法理论发达国家和地区的行政主体制度对于我们具有借鉴意义。

根据兰彻斯特作战动态方程的研究方法建立了机群对地攻击效果的分析动力学模型,并通过仿真分析、讨论了影响对地攻击效果的可能因素,如:目标分配形式,目标发现概率,攻击结果侦察概率以及假目标等.

讨论了搜索线上搜索力（密度）的最优配置问题,给出了求解的算法。并对其收敛性作了证明。     

测真空二极管强电子束流的同轴分流器

本文介绍了一种结构紧凑,安装在阳极座中,测量真空二极管内阴阳极间电子束流的同轴分流器,经定标此分流器的电阻为ZmΩ,响应时间为3．2ns。已用它测量81-7M－01强流相对论电子束加速器二极管的电子束流,测得的束流强度为90kA左右。此同轴分流器结构简单,易于使用,在研究阴阳极的材料和形状对二极管束流的影响等方面有潜在的应用价值。     

固体零温零压密度的估算

固体在零温零压下的密度是一个重要的物态参数。本文利用Ｄｅｂｙｅ理论给出了零温零压密度的一种估算方法,并对８２种物质的零温零压密度进行了计算。

<正>《林教头风雪山神庙》(见高中语文第四册)的“风雪”描写向来为人称道,其中关于“酒”的细节描写,却为人所忽视;至于“火”的描写,论者虽不少,但也只是在分析情节时一笔带过.笔者认为,“酒”、“火”同“风雪”一样,都是施耐庵苦心经营且独具匠心的象征物.本文试略作分析,以祈向同行请教.     

Patterns in spatial point locations: Local indicators of spatial association in a minefield with clutter

The problem of detecting a minefield in the presence of clutter can be abstracted to that of detecting a spatial pattern within a set of point locations. The point locations are superpositions of several patterns, one of which corresponds to mines. In contrast to previous articles that take a formal, model‐based approach, this article proposes a statistical methodology that is distinctly exploratory. Each point location is considered separately, and its contributions to a global measure of spatial distances between locations are featured. Different patterns and unusual points can be more easily identified on the new scale.
